On the Earburner : Nick Drake last night i lay perfectly still in bed and really listened

whilst feeling a little fragile last Sunday eve, due to countless days spent celebrating my quarter century riding high on devil juice, i found this film and was pretty charmed. being one to always question 'given' sentiments and lifestyle choices, i liked Yi's original exploration, then the story turns a bit, whilst i remained charmed. it could, potentially, be a bit sickly for some, but it did the trick at that moment.
It goes without saying that the appropriately named Blessing Force are currently being seen as such by many. Having grown up near Oxford, and blessed with a few of the right friends at the right time for initial encouragement, much of my time has now been spent seeing various acts who form Blessing Force incarnated in various bands and places and, in what must be getting close to 7 or 8 years, I still harbour a genuine fondness and respect for their ongoing efforts, continuing to return to them throughout time, ever curious.
A good pal and I turn a little older in the following days and, as a gift, are both off to CAMP to see 3 absolutely Stella acts from within 'Blessing Force' camp
